On March 23rd 2024 a hiker surnamed Chen didn't return from his trip in the Xinkong area of the New Taipei region. Mr. Chen went hiking together with his young female dog 黑皮 HeiPi (HAPPY).
2024年3月23日一位陳姓登山者陳姓登山者到新北市熊空區域爬山沒有回來。陳先生帶著他的狗黑皮(HAPPY)一起去爬山。

Night of 19th June 2022 hiker was reported missing near Hehuanshan north peak 合歡山北峰. Next day evening, the family of the missing person asked us for help with searching.     Although sadness has occurred with this outcome of accidental death it is heartwarming there is closure for the family and the dedicated dog who guarded this mans remains allowing his soul to be released properly with his family surrounding him during the funeral service.

      Used to, but it is rare have accident with them. Even I saw many always was fine. On another side hornets are main killer of farmers or hikers

    The fact a foreign guy from Europe shifted over to live in Taiwan/marry and speak the language and then go on search and rescue hikes is incredible to me!
